Smoky Mountains Light Trails — Limited Edition Fine Art Print

A winding mountain road, ember-red tail lights, and a cathedral of autumn color. Smoky Mountains Light Trails was photographed on location in the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee. Using a long-exposure technique, the twin yellow lines and sweeping S-curve guide your eye deep into the forest—moody, cinematic, and perfect for cozy cabin vibes or a modern gallery wall.

Artist’s perspective

“I created this photograph in response to the scale and stillness of the landscape—the feeling of being made smaller, calmer, and more attentive by the natural world. My goal was to preserve not only the view, but the sense of awe that came with standing before it.” — Chris Fabregas

Artist Statement

I took this photograph because the winding road already had a beautiful natural rhythm through the Smoky Mountains, and the long exposure gave me a way to make that movement visible. The red light trails pulled the eye through the autumn forest and turned a simple drive into something cinematic. I wanted the image to feel like traveling through the mountains rather than just looking at them.
